ZIP COMPRESSION
We saw a Clarion user's question the other day on Clarion Hub asking about ZIP file creation and expansion and what add-ons a developer might need to add ZIP/UNZIP functionality to a Clarion APP.
Several add-ons were suggested but no mention of Clarion Handy Tools! The ironic part of the whole dumb-assed scenario is that one of the users piping up with a suggestion to use JZIP was a CHT user. He made no mention of CHT having the power to ZIP and UNZIP. And for what it's worth, far better zip functionality than his suggesion of obsolete JZIP.
Ok, JZIP, his suggestion, is a free utlity, but it's no longer supported because the developer has gone on to greener pastures, ostensibly because he couldn't make a living building Clarion Tools.
For what it's worth, Gus has been making a living building tools for Clarion for well over 28 years and he is still actively developing, supporting, updating and expanding his product: CHT or "Clarion Handy Tools".
The power to ZIP and UNZIP from a self-built Clarion application has been built-into CHT for many years. There are plenty of example ZIP-capable applications and useful ZIP utilities provided along with source code for anyone who has the good sense to examine the gold mine of functionaliy provided with CHT.

CHT TEMPLATES BROWSES
These three browses are generated as needed by a Clarion Application built with CHT. The app uses only CHT templates and vanilla Clarion, no specialized ABC or SV templates having to do with HTML or web code generation.
